About Louis Boria
It was literally all a dream for the founder and creator of Brooklyn Boy Knits. What went from just knitting for friends turned into something much bigger and warmer. Stereotypes don’t paint men as knitters and Boria is breaking barriers through Brooklyn Boy Knits. His friends loved their handmade gifts so much that they soon told their friends and before he knew it Brooklyn Boy Knits was reaching people beyond Brooklyn. A photo of Louis knitting on the subway went viral, creating an unexpected demand for the goods produced for his 10-year-old knitwear business and turning Louis into one of the rising stars of the fiber arts world. He is a member of the Vogue Knitting Diversity Advisory Council.
