Bring your sewing machine and take part in one of two Creative Grids events with Penny Haren. All rulers and fabrics are provided so you can make a variety of different quilt blocks – and learn additional techniques – in a fun and easy class. Make perfect “Flying Geese” blocks by trimming them AFTER you sew the bias edges. Sew “Cat’s in the Cradle” blocks without ever cutting a triangle. Cut charm squares at an angle and trim them after sewing so every block is the exact same size. Bonus? The angled seams never have to match! Then piece a “Scrap Crazy” block in a matter of minutes and see how this is the perfect place to showcase all those decorative stitches on your machine! If time allows, make half-square triangles from 10” squares and turn them into a “Delectable Mountains” block or make a quick and easy piano key border. Along the way, you'll learn tips and tricks for rotary cutting, as well.
