Fabric Painting/Dyeing

Have you ever wished you had a certain fabric for a project and just could not find something that matched your vision? This class is a great way to learn how to alter fabric (you can bring an ugly piece from your stash to work on) to create a different piece that works for you.

You can create art pieces like seen in the photos here but you can also just create pieces that work with other fabric you have in harmony. You can see other photos of more simply painted fabric in the comments below. Don't miss an opportunity to learn from Casey Green, as she is so talented with this art form. She spends hours prepping the class for you and has the classroom filled with all kinds of supplies for you to play with to help you decide which supplies and processes you like the best and want to explore further.

The latest fabric painting class with Casey Green has been postponed to 7/13 so if the original date of 5/25 did not work for you, check out the new date.

This class is $100 for one day and you need to bring the teacher a $10 materials fee on the day of the class in cash.

Class Policies

  • You should receive a class supply list about 2 weeks prior to the class by email unless you have stopped by the shop to get one in person.
  • You may cancel a class up to two weeks prior to class for a full refund.
  • We will only cancel a class if we have to.
  • If you miss part of a multi-session class we can try to get you in the next class with a processing fee (fee is determined by the length of the class) to cover the lost spot in that class.
  • Unless noted as a "hand work class," classes require you to bring your own sewing machine. While we may be able to obtain a loaner machine, it is best to use a machine you're already familiar with; beginners will benefit from learning on the same machine they will use outside of class.
