School's out and we think there's no better time for sewing than summer. Intown Quilters hosts four weeks of summer camp -- two in June, two in July -- that will keep your young sewists in stitches.
Our Fashionista Camps are geared toward girls and boys ages 11 and up (or younger if they are already familiar with a sewing machine) who are interested in more fashion/general sewing. In years' past, campers have made pajama pants, bags, pillowcases, skirts and so much more! Campers usually work on three-four projects with the guidance of an instructor during the camp week. This year's Fashionista Camps are schedule for 10 a.m.-4 p.m. June 8-12 and June 29-July 3 and the cost is $350 per session (which includes a supply allowance for each camper).
If your child has expressed an interest in quilting, consider one of our two weeks of Quilting Camp. Each session can accommodate students who are brand-new to quilting as well as those who've already got experience with piecing and quilting. We offer two five-day sessions of Quilting Camp: July 6-10 and July 13-17, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. each day, priced at $350 per session for beginner campers including supplies and $250 for returning/experienced Quilting Campers with supplies sold separately (to allow for different skill levels choosing different sized quilts and them having some supplies already).
We have spaces available in all our summer camps but we do expect them to fill before camps start, so sign up before you miss out! And Intown Quilters provides paperwork for claiming childcare tax credit for each summer camper, too! You can register your child for summer camp online (sign up for Fashionista Camp here or Quilting Camp here), via telephone (404.634.6924) or in the store during regular business hours.
