Inside IQ 12/11/15

Inside IQ: A Newsletter for the IQ Crew

Dec. 11, 2015

We have been using something called the "beta till" on the Register this week. Like Sew, our POS company, thinks some of the issues we've been having with processing refunds and some other odd things will be resolved if we use the register interface that is under development. If you go to ring up a customer and things look a little different, that's why.

As far as the POS goes, if something weird happens -- you get an error message, etc. -- please call Mary over immediately (if she's in the store) or Leslie before you proceed. We need to be able to communicate to Like Sew exactly what's happened and it's a lot easier if we actually see the weirdness.

Please remember to fill out the gift certificate fields completely both in the POS and the actual gift certificate. The new gift certificates do not have a carbon but do have numbers written on them (thanks to Pogo and her beautiful penmanship!).

Classes just added:
We have started taking sign ups for the EPP sew along for 2016, Glorious Hexagons. Be sure to head to the website and read all about it.

The next session of Beginning Quiltmaking starts Sunday, Jan. 10.

New to IQ:
Blueberry Park by Karen Lewis is here from Robert Kaufman. We have yardage plus charm squares, 2-1/2" strips and 10" squares. This fabric is an screenprinted Kona: the fabric colors are all Kona colors with a white pattern screen printed on top. Leslie washed and dried some of the pieces she bought and brought them back (they're hanging from the baker's rack) so customers can feel how soft it is after washing.

Two new samples from the book Modern Rainbow will be up soon.

Coming soon:
The 2016 Hoffman Challenge fabric. This year's challenge fabric is digitally printed.
