Inside IQ: A Newsletter for the IQ Crew

Feb. 12, 2016
There are now small notebooks at each cutting table. Please use them to write down the sku/barcode of any fabrics you cut into fat quarters for customers. The other FQ should just be shelved.

Maxine's Beginning Quiltmaking class enrollment is now capped at 9 students instead of 8. We have fixed the current class sheet and adjusted the number of spots in the system.

We have swapped out the new bags Sarah ordered for Shop Hop for the older bags we had. Please try to use the red/white bags instead of any of the green bags when bagging customer purchases.

Please hand out the Shop Hop flyer to everyone or put it in their bag. Be sure to tell customers the Sewing Expo in Duluth is the same weekend as Shop Hop so they can make a fun sewing/quilting weekend March 9-13. This year we are giving out a free pattern for a quilt, cute buttons instead of charms and each shop is giving out a recipe.

Time off requests: Shop Hop is coming up in March (3/9-3/13) and we need all hands on deck for a successful event. Please do not request time off from 3/1-3/15 and limit requests for time off to a single day for 3/16-4/3.

Classes just added:

Summer camps have been added to the calendar, two weeks in June and three in July. Our camps have been rebranded as Sew * Craft * Quilt Summer Camp and each week will have a theme. Fonde and Mary are teaching and the instructor for each week is noted on the website.

Two new BOM programs will be announced in this week's newsletter. Please read up and familiarize yourself with these so you can help customers who are interested.

Introduction to Hand Embroidery, Serger Techniques, Intermediate Paper Piecing have all been added.

Additional sessions of Sewing Basics and Sewing Studio added.
