There's still time to sign up for this year's block-of-the-month programs

March 28, 2016
This year's block-of-the-month programs kick off in just a couple of weeks -- and it's not too late to sign up so you, too, can make one of these gorgeous quilts.

Our own Sandy Stites used the book You Can Quilt! to create a sampler quilt that looks anything but run-of-the-mill. Lots of bright, fun Kaffe Fassett prints, contrasting with a grey chambray background, make for an eye-catching quilt that would look great in anywhere.

This BOM quilt features 12 blocks that use a variety of techniques, in a fun setting that turns this sampler quilt into something even more spectacular. Of course, Sandy will show you other setting options, too!

Interested in taking part in this fun block of the month but you want to use different fabrics? Send us an email to discuss the available options! (Seriously, send an email -- it's the fastest, best way to chat with us about this BOM).

Sandy's You Can Quilt! BOM meets on the 2nd Saturday of the month, starting April 9, at 9:30 a.m. Cost is $220 (quilt top fabric is included) and the book You Can Quilt! is required (but you'll save 20% off the book after signing up for this BOM). We've also got a Paypal subscription option here that let's you sing up for monthly billing through Paypal for the You Can Quilt! BOM.

We're also taking you on a machine- and handwork-adventure to create Jen Kingwell's My Small World Quilt -- with some very IQ twists to the original pattern. We fell in love with the pattern when it debuted in Quilt Mania magazine and that love was solidified when Jen taught the pattern during her visit to IQ last year.

Our own Leslie Piper is leading this block of the month after sewing our quilt and we think you'll be as enchanted with it as we are. It's full of gorgeous colors, fussy-cut prints and some hometown flair that we've added to make the quilt representative of our small world, Decatur, GA!

IQ's Small World BOM meets on the fourth Saturday of the month for only 6 months, starting 4/22, at 9:30 a.m. Cost is $120 (quilt top fabric is included) and the book My Small World by Jen Kingwell is required (save 20% off the book after you sign up for this BOM).

    Happy quilting,
    Sarah & the IQ crew

P.S. Our handwork BOM, Glorious Hexagons, kicked off in February -- but it's not too late to join! Pay for the full BOM at once or use Paypal for a handy monthly subscription option. Check out all the details here!
Help Dalton Davis
Many of you probably remember Dalton Davis, who used to work at the shop before he went off to college. Dalton was a foster kid in Atlanta and now is on his own trying to make his way through college. He needs our help now. He has never gotten enough money from the state and scholarships to cover his living expenses, books and supplies for school so I have been helping him the past four years, along with some regular help from a few of our very dedicated (and generous) customers, who Dalton and I thank very much! I am reaching out to you again because this talented young man really could use some financial help continuing his education. If you are willing, click on this paypal button to make a donation or mail or drop by cash or a check made out to Dalton Davis. Anything will help.
