Good morning! Celebrate all things quilting on Saturday, 3/17, for National Quilting Day! The occasion was started in 1991 by the National Quilting Association to celebrate quilts and those who make them. Obviously, it's a holiday that's near and dear to the hearts of everyone at IQF&Y!

Come see us today in honor of the day! We'd love to help you pick out your next project. We are giving out FREE GIFTS with a purchase all day long! Bring in your latest UFO or finished quilt with you for use to snap a photo of for our social media pages and your name will go into a drawing for a $25 gift certificate. Let's share the quilting mojo today!

And don't forget that metro Atlanta's largest annual quilting event, The Greater Atlanta Quilt Shop Hop, kicks off Thursday, 3/22, and continues through Sunday, 3/25. Eight quilt shops and four days filled with fabric and fun as we bring to life the "Oceans of Notions" of theme. We can't wait to show you everything we've been working on, including our spectacular shop hop quilt!

Knitting/Crocheting Classes

Thursday Sit & Knit

Thursdays 10 am-2 pm
Drop in any time during the posted hours for some yarn fun with friends! This is great for beginners especially, as knitting near more experienced knitters allows for you to get immediate help with questions and mistakes which then helps you learn to recognize mistakes yourself and gives you the practice time to get better with your knitting. (We recommend bringing a snack so you can pop downstairs for a quick bit to stay energized for a full day of stitching.)

Learn to Knit
You can learn how to get started knitting during our weekly sit and knit. Just reserve your spot for only $5 prior to that day (either in store, online or by phone) and we will make sure there is someone there dedicated to teaching you how for the first hour of the morning sit & knit. We've found tis is a great way for folks to learn. They can then sit with the teacher for awhile knitting and get help learning how to fix little mistakes as they arise. We've had great feedback on teaching knitting this way versus a separate class. We are happy to set up a class for you though or private lessons that work better for your schedule. Email us to let us know your wishes.
