We've been doing a little Spring tweaking around the shop to change up our samples and displays as we bring in new projects and fabrics. It's fun to refresh our look every now and then! We've relocated our sale fabrics downstairs (their previous home) and created a nice sitting area for handwork and knitting down there, too. Be sure to check it out and bring your projects for one of our Sit and Stitch/Knit days to try it out for yourself!
Alison Glass is known for her bold use of color and her newest collection with Andover Fabrics does not disappoint on that front. Mariner Cloth is a new cotton substrate featuring a raised accent line that adds a bit of texture to your projects. We've got yardage of all 10 colors in the shop and online, too!
We are excited to host Shannon Brinkley, an author, pattern designer and fabric designer, at IQF&Y in September! More details to come but email us and we'll add you to our priority notification list to get the first chance at signing up for her classes.

Learn to Knit
You can learn how to get started knitting during our weekly sit and knit. Just reserve your spot for only $5 prior to that day (either in store, online or by phone) and we will make sure there is someone there dedicated to teaching you how for the first hour of the morning sit & knit. We've found tis is a great way for folks to learn. They can then sit with the teacher for awhile knitting and get help learning how to fix little mistakes as they arise. We've had great feedback on teaching knitting this way versus a separate class. We are happy to set up a class for you though or private lessons that work better for your schedule. Email us to let us know your wishes.
