Yarn Clearance Sale and Meet De La Luna!

July 10th, 2018

    We want to continue selling yarn but we need your help! If you don't know, we added a nice selection of indie-dyed yarn to our inventory a couple of years ago. Some of the companies from which we order require us to purchase a certain amount of yarn periodically in order to remain on their retailer list. Yarn is still a new product for us and it does not turn over as quickly as it would at a more established yarn store -- and that means it's time to clear some yarn out so we can buy some more and we need your help with that.

    As of today, almost all yarn will be *40% off
until we clear out enough to be able to place our next orders. That could be 2 days or 2 weeks and we will just decide to end the sale when we feel we have gotten there. This means great deals for you (the best will go first) and it is the perfect time for you to stock up on some projects to make (there's just enough time to make some things for holiday gifts if you start soon). Even if you don't use yarn, it's the perfect time to grab some skeins to gift those yarn enthusiasts in your life. For online shopping, use YARN18 to receive the 40% discount. *Knitted Wit and Anzula are excluded; no additional discounts apply, limited to in-stock items.

    On the fabric side of things, we had a blast unboxing our shipment of Tula Pink's De La Luna during a Facebook Live event Wednesday morning. (It's saved on our FB page, so you can see for yourself.) The 18 pieces of this collection are typical Tula -- striking prints in great colors -- and we have been playing with color combos and tossing in some of Tula's Tent Stripe, Pom Poms and All Stars to expand the possibilities. A few of these fabrics already are close to selling out -- don't wait too long to grab your favorites because you might miss out!

    We've still got a couple of spots left in our Beginning Quilt Making class that starts this Sunday. It's a great way to get started with one of our favorite hobbies! Our class offerings for July and August give you plenty of options to learn a new technique or skill. We also have several teachers who can schedule private lessons for sewing, quilting, knitting and crochet. Email us for more information. And don't miss out on these classes:

     * Beginning Quilt Making Sunday
     * Introduction to Hand Embroidery
     * Intermediate Paper Piecing
     * Sewing 101

    There are still a few spots in our September classes with Shannon Brinkley, a quilt/fabric designer, author and national teacher. Shannon will be teaching one Color Confidence class and two Scrappy Appliqué classes. Join us for what's sure to be a fun and colorful three days of quilt making! For those who have signed up for two classes, and those who want to, you will receive a $40 credit in your account to spend on anything you choose after signing up for two or more classes.

Color Confidence Wednesday, 9/26/2018, $130

Scrappy Applique Thursday, 9/27, or Friday, 9/28/2018, $150

     Happy stitching,

Learn to Knit
You can learn how to get started knitting during our weekly sit and knit. Just reserve your spot for only $5 prior to that day (either in store, online or by phone) and we will make sure there is someone there dedicated to teaching you how for the first hour of the morning sit & knit. We've found it is a great way for folks to learn. They can then sit with the teacher for awhile knitting and get help learning how to fix little mistakes as they arise. We've had great feedback on teaching knitting this way versus a separate class. We are happy to set up a class for you though or private lessons that work better for your schedule. Email us to let us know your wishes.

     We have our IQ loyalty program, which is good for 20% off all regularly priced merchandise. Since launching our new computerized point-of-sale system, we are changing from paper cards to an electronic rewards system. No more forgetting your cards at home! We are happy to add your existing IQ cards to our system; just bring them in with your name and email address written on them.

     We do occasionally give out coupons during shop hop and other special events like quilt shows. Coupons cannot be used on special orders or sale items, cannot be combined and there are no rain checks.
