Intown Quilters Fabric and Yarn is now a web store only with fast shipping!

Add a little Star Power to your day

Aug. 17, 2018

Intown Quilters Fabric & Yarn will soon celebrate 16 years in business! Save the date -- Saturday, 8/25/18 -- and plan to join us for a fun-filled day with the IQF&Y crew. We're going to party like it's 2002!

We were so inspired by Libs Elliott's Star Power quilt pattern that we pulled together not one but two samples and kits! The generously sized quilt (it finishes at 80" x 80") uses large pieces so it comes together really quickly. One of ours is made of all solid fabrics from Free Spirit, while the other is a mix of Kaffe Fassett Collective fabrics and Free Spirit solids. Grab yours while you can -- we have a limited number of each kit available in store and online!

Don't miss out on our UFO Sew Day tomorrow, 8/18/18, with local machine quilting rock star Regina Carter. It's a great way to knock out some of your quilty projects among friends, away from the interruptions of daily life.

Shannon Brinkley is known for her Scrappy Appliqué technique and you have two opportunities to learn it from her at IQF&Y. It's a great way to incorporate a variety of fabrics to create a one-of-a-kind applique design. Join us for what's sure to be a fun and colorful three days of quilt making! For those who have signed up for two Shannon Brinkley classes, and those who want to, you will receive a $40 credit in your account to spend on anything you choose after signing up for two or more of her classes.

You can sign up for one of our Scrappy Applique classes with Shannon on either Thursday, 9/27, or Friday, 9/28/2018, for $150/class.

Get ready for some crafty inspiration with one of our classes. Check out our class calendar for all the details! We've got everything from hand embroidery to EQ8 to machine quilting scheduled between now and the end of October (with more to come). You can learn how to get started knitting during our weekly sit and knit. Just reserve your spot for only $5 prior to that day (either in store, online or by phone) and we will make sure there is someone there dedicated to teaching you how for the first hour of the morning sit & knit. We've found it is a great way for folks to learn. They can then sit with the teacher for awhile knitting and get help learning how to fix little mistakes as they arise. We've had great feedback on teaching knitting this way versus a separate class. We are happy to set up a class for you though or private lessons that work better for your schedule. Email us to let us know your wishes.

We have our IQ loyalty program, which is good for 20% off all regularly priced merchandise. Since launching our new computerized point-of-sale system, we are changing from paper cards to an electronic rewards system. No more forgetting your cards at home! We are happy to add your existing IQ cards to our system; just bring them in with your name and email address written on them.

We do occasionally give out coupons during shop hop and other special events like quilt shows. Coupons cannot be used on special orders or sale items, cannot be combined and there are no rain checks.
