Sept. 7, 2018

Planning to attend today's Sit and Stitch? Please note that Mary Lou will not be in attendance. You're still welcome to come hang out and work on your handwork projects, of course!

Did you miss out on the 2018 Kaffe Fassett Mystery Quilt? You're in luck! We've just received a shipment of both Pastel and Dark colorways of the Mystery Quilt. These are "catch up" kits: They include all the fabric and block patterns that have been released so far (March-August) and you'll receive the remaining blocks each month until the end of the program, starting in September. We've just got a couple left of each -- get them while you can! (And, yes, we can ship!)

We are utterly "Smitten" with our newest fabric shipment from Moda! Lots of fabric petting may have happened when our shipment of the latest by Bonnie and Camille, plus Badda Bing by Me and My Sister, arrived this week. Bright, fun florals plus stripes, dots and ginghams --perfect for so many projects! Add one of our Badda Bing or Smitten pre-cuts to whip up a quilt for that special someone in no time.

In case you missed our Facebook Live unboxing last week, we have just received another shipment of great clothing from Wearables by XCVI. New color of the popular Jetter Crop, two colors of the Oslo Cord leggings, two colors of the Agnese Jacket and a new Bias Rib Lounger pant -- the best yoga pant ever with pockets. Stop in to check out all the new pieces and try them on -- you'll love them as much as we do!

Our 3 Color Cowl/Shawl knit-along (KAL) is officially underway! Join us at our regular Sit & Knits to work on yours with other KALers or knit at home and stay in touch with the KAL community on Ravelry or our Facebook KAL group. Our KAL continues until 11/30/2018. You may start your project at any time, but to be eligible for the Finished Object Prize(s), you must post a picture on Ravelry by 11/30. (If you are not RAV savvy, we can help with that in the store!)

We're looking forward to hosting Shannon Brinkley at the end of the month. If you've been thinking about signing up, you're in luck because we still have a couple of spots left in each of her Scrappy Applique classes. Shannon's Scrappy Applique technique is a great way to incorporate a variety of fabrics to create a one-of-a-kind applique design. For those who have signed up for two Shannon Brinkley classes, and those who want to, you will receive a $40 credit in your account to spend on anything you choose after signing up for two or more of her classes. Sign up and take Scrappy Applique classes with Shannon on either Thursday, 9/27, or Friday, 9/28/2018, for $150/class.

Learn to Knit
You can learn how to get started knitting during our weekly sit and knit. Just reserve your spot for only $5 prior to that day (either in store, online or by phone) and we will make sure there is someone there dedicated to teaching you how for the first hour of the morning sit & knit. We've found it is a great way for folks to learn. They can then sit with the teacher for awhile knitting and get help learning how to fix little mistakes as they arise. We've had great feedback on teaching knitting this way versus a separate class. We are happy to set up a class for you though or private lessons that work better for your schedule. Email us to let us know your wishes.
