Oct. 31, 2018

Happy Halloween from the IQF&Y crew! If you bring in your little ghouls to shop today, we've got a little (non candy) treat for them!

This just in: We are so excited to have the newest Kaffe Fassett wide backing fabrics here at IQF&Y! The boxes were just dropped off and we did a quick Facebook Live unboxing video to share our excitement. Two prints, three colorways for a total of six fabulous fabrics for backing your Kaffe Collective quilts (although they also make great fabrics for home decor projects and even apparel).

Have you heard the news? FreeSpirit Fabrics is hosting Kaffetastic Rainbow Star quilt along for Summer 2019 and IQF&Y is taking part! Pre-order your quilt kit now and choose from one of two colorways: Bold or Sunset. Each kit includes all the Kaffe fabric you need to make the ~78" x 78" quilt top. Participants will receive their kits in the Spring of 2019, along with some special gifts that are only available to the first 24 people who sign up.

If you are around on Thanksgiving weekend, come on in to sew on some blocks in the FreeSpirit Block Party Sew Day. FreeSpirit Fabrics put together a book of block patterns designed by their fabric designers called FreeSpirit Block Party and they are calling on folks to make blocks for charity quilts. We are collecting blocks to be put into Quilts for Kids (we're a drop-off site for the group).

Alexander Henry has done it again. The fabric company is known for its quirky novelty fabrics and the latest additions to The Ghastlies collection is sure to be a hit. This time, that hauntingly fun family is crafting up a good time with sewing themed fabrics. Sewing machines, scissors and even a stunning floral make this a must-have.

Learn to Knit
You can learn how to get started knitting during our weekly sit and knit. Just reserve your spot for only $5 prior to that day (either in store, online or by phone) and we will make sure there is someone there dedicated to teaching you how for the first hour of the morning sit & knit. We've found it is a great way for folks to learn. They can then sit with the teacher for awhile knitting and get help learning how to fix little mistakes as they arise. We've had great feedback on teaching knitting this way versus a separate class. We are happy to set up a class for you though or private lessons that work better for your schedule. Email us to let us know your wishes.

COUPONS
We have our IQ loyalty program, which is good for 20% off all regularly priced merchandise.
