April 12, 2019

Spring inspires us in so many ways. We've all been starting new projects lately, from quilts to clothes to knitting and crocheting. Are you ready to "spring" into a new project? Get a jump start with our Spring Fling Sale this weekend (Friday-Sunday in store, Friday-Monday online) and save 20% off in-stock items. Shop online with the coupon code "SPRINGFLING" or stop in our brick-and-mortar location to pick out something pretty for yourself to stitch up. As always, no additional discounts apply, no rainchecks and discount is good only on in-stock items.

We've all been there. You see a quilt sample hanging in the shop and love it but you're just not feeling the fabrics. Sure, you could pick different fabrics but you're pressed for time or not confident about your fabric pairing. That's what inspired us to change the way we approach our shop samples, giving you not only the fabrics in the quilt we made but pulling together other options that make it easier for you to create the quilt you want to make! Our "go to" patterns -- Big Bricks with Baby Bricks, Brick by Brick, Patchwork PDQYellow Brick Road and Sassy Sixteen -- all use fat quarters and we offer multiple options in bundles of 8, 9, 10, 12, 16 and 20 FQs that can be used to make those quilts. You can even get extra bundles to make a quilt larger than the one we have on display.

Nothing makes a happy, sunny day at the shop better than unpacking new fabric and our latest additions from Blend Fabrics had all of us ooohing and ahhhing. We pulled together a whimsical selection of novelty prints from some of the company's current lines (including North Seas and Arctic Playground) that work oh so well together. They'd make a great baby/kid's quilt!

This group will meet on the 1st Saturday from 9:30am-1pm. $90 for the year or $15 per month if you would like to pay monthly.

We break up the class into four, 4-hour sessions, with "homework" you'll do in between sessions. A sewing machine is required for this class. Don't have one? We have two sewing machines you can reserve to use in the shop for class with a $25 deposit that will be returned to you when the classes are done. Knitting/Crocheting Classes

Please note: We have added a $1 charge for all our Sit & Knit sessions so that we may be able to collect a list of who will be coming ahead of time (the system won't let us take sign-ups for free) and that way we can let you know if something happens to prevent us having a teacher there. Please do register for the specific session you want to come to, to let us know if you will be joining.

Knitting 101 by reservation
You can learn how to get started knitting during our weekly sit and knit. Just reserve your spot for $40 prior to that day (either in store, online or by phone) and we will make sure there is someone there dedicated to teaching you how for the first hour of the morning sit & knit. Yarn and knitting needles included! We've found it is a great way for folks to learn. They can then sit with the teacher for awhile knitting and get help learning how to fix little mistakes as they arise. We've had great feedback on teaching knitting this way versus a separate class. Reservations must be made at least 48 hours prior to the session. We are also happy to set up a class for you though or private lessons that work better for your schedule. Email us to let us know your wishes.

COUPONS
Our IQF&Y loyalty program earns you points towards a 20% off reward good on all in-stock, regularly price merchandise. Best of all, it's all done electronically -- no more paper cards to keep up with! Still have one of our old paper IQ cards? We are happy to add your existing IQ cards to our system; just bring them in with your name and email address written on them.

We do occasionally give out coupons during shop hop and other special events like quilt shows. Coupons cannot be used on special orders or sale items, cannot be combined and there are no rain checks.
