We are excited to take part and have added some new needlesnew yarns and exclusive Anzula LYSD yarn kits for the event. Stop in to take part in our day-long sit-and-knit/crochet (we will even teach you how to get started), sample some of our yarns with our yarn tastings, receive a free gift (or two) with yarn purchase and enter to win our LYS Day prize drawing! We don't want to leave our fabric folks out, so we will have special savings for all yarn and fabric: 20% off* now through Sunday, 4/28/19! We've even added a new knitting class to the calendar, so if you've been wanting to learn how to knit socks two at a time, now's your chance and you can even grab some of our new cotton sock yarn ahead of the class at the discounted price! *No additional discounts apply and Kaffetastic Rainbow Star QAL kits excluded.

We had a fun time unboxing our latest fabric arrival: Itty Bitty homespuns from Henry Glass. They're a great collection of yarn-dyed wovens in gorgeous shades of tan, brown, orange, green and even purple. We think they'd look great chopped up to make any of our go-to quilt patterns (Big Bricks, Brick by BrickPatchwork PDQ or Yellow Brick Road)

Embrace Spring and the warmer weather by adding some of our Wearables by XCVI offerings to your wardrobe. We've just added new colors of the Malanda pant (shown right) and the always popular Jetter, plus a new flattering shorts style, Clarissa. We've still got a few sizes of the Tatem Bermuda, too, which is a nice longer length (around the knee) style.

Knitting 101 by reservation
You can learn how to get started knitting during our weekly sit and knit or we can set up a time that works better for your schedule. Just reserve your spot for $40 prior to that day (either in store, online or by phone) and we will make sure there is someone there dedicated to teaching you how for the first hour of the morning sit & knit. Yarn and knitting needles included! We've found it is a great way for folks to learn. They can then sit with the teacher for awhile knitting and get help learning how to fix little mistakes as they arise. We've had great feedback on teaching knitting this way versus a separate class. Reservations must be made at least 48 hours prior to the session. If you would like to set up a private one-on-one, sign up online and then email us to let us know what dates work for you.

Crochet 101
Wednesday, 5/15/19, noon-1:30 pm $40

We'll start toe up, which makes it even easier to check the fit of your socks as you go. Please note, this is an intermediate knitting class. Students should be comfortable with casting on, knitting, purling, and working in the round. No prior sock knitting experience is required. Taught by Mary Abreu.
