June 20, 2019

We've got a delicious new pattern to share with you for this year's 2019 Row by Row Experience! Our Mmmmm...Donuts pattern features one of our favorite tasty treats that you can make in four different "flavors" (fabrics), including a filled donut (Mary says it's in honor of my favorite Orange Cream filled donut at Sublime). This year's Row by Row theme is "Taste the Experience" and the global shop hop kicks off Friday, 6/21. Stop in to get your kit and pattern to make this super fun row (it makes a great mini quilt, too)!

Batiks are a favorite at the shop and the newest line from Anthology Fabrics generated lots of attention as we brought it upstairs. Scratch is a fantastic new batik basic, made in a range of colors that will work with any project palette. We can't wait to see it chopped up in quilt blocks!

Science and math fabrics seem to fly out the door as soon as we get them in, and the new Color Theory line is sure to be a hit. Giucy GiuceAlison Glass and Libs Elliott joined together to make three designs (Diagram, Field Notes and Graph) for Andover Fabrics, in some fantastic colors that coordinate perfectly with everything!

We've got some great, quick classes that will not only teach you something new, but finish with a fun project to keep (or give someone else)! Great for all ages and experience levels! Learn tips and tricks for fusible machine applique with our Machine Applique Dish Towel class, sew a quick Zipper Pouch, get ideas for how to label your quilts with our Quilt Label talk, make a fun fabric pillowcase in our Magic Pillowcase class or whip up a handy Spa Washcloth (both knitting and crocheting options available). Scroll down to the Classes section for all the details!

    Happy stitching

KAFFETASTIC QUILTALONG

The Kaffetastic Rainbow Star Quilt Along is underway and we love seeing what the participants have done so far. The second pattern just released on Monday. It's not too late to join in the fun. We were able to get more fabric to make a few more Bold kits and have a few Sunset left, too. Click here to see the detailed list of the fabrics included in the Bold or Sunset kits that you can use in any way you choose. The Sunset kit includes two new Aboriginal Dot colors, Stone and Denim, that are not out to the general public yet!

There are weekly Sunday sewing days to help you make regular progress with the goal of finishing a quilt top (or two) this summer.

Participants who purchase a kit from us get some great swag (while supplies last) and a discount on all Kaffe Fassett (or whatever type of fabric you choose for your alternate kit) products for the duration of the QAL, as well as weekly finisher prizes. Purchase
your kit now! Come see us or call us to discuss alternate fabric options.

Knitting 101 by reservation
You can learn how to get started knitting during our weekly sit and knit or we can set up a time that works better for your schedule. Just reserve your spot for $40 prior to that day (either in store, online or by phone) and we will make sure there is someone there dedicated to teaching you how for the first hour of the morning sit & knit. Yarn and knitting needles included! We've found it is a great way for folks to learn. They can then sit with the teacher for awhile knitting and get help learning how to fix little mistakes as they arise. We've had great feedback on teaching knitting this way versus a separate class. Reservations must be made at least 48 hours prior to the session. If you would like to set up a private one-on-one, sign up online and then email us to let us know what dates work for you.

Knitted Spa Washcloth
