Today is the 17th anniversary of Intown Quilters Fabric & Yarn! Yes, 17 years ago today we opened our doors on Zonolite Road in Atlanta and then in 2006 we moved to our current location. We thank each and every one of you for being our loyal customers and friends! In celebration of this milestone, the crew has brainstormed some fun pricing specials. Starting today through Sunday, 8/25/2019, buy any 6 loose, pre-cut fat quarters for just $17; buy any 2 yards of fabric regularly priced at $13.50 or less and pay just $17 (wow only $8.50 per yard and you can buy as many increments of 2 yards you choose); and *17% percent off everything else in the store. *Discounts cannot be combined and we will not cut fat quarters off bolts.
Don't miss Alex Veronelli who is visiting from Italy and will be speaking at the shop about Aurifil thread tomorrow morning, 8/21/19. He will share exclusive information on what's to come from Aurifil, an introduction to Aurifil's thread weights, tips on best uses for each and care instructions, plus tons of inspiration made by popular designers using Aurifil thread. Attendees will receive a nice little goodie bag of thread with some other things mixed in and there will be a discount on Aurifil thread that day. We know it is a weekday morning but it is short and you could pack a lunch and call it an early lunch break. We will have a few light refreshments. There are just a few spots left -- click here to reserve your seat today!
We have even more new fabric in the shop since our last newsletter including about 20 new colors of the Spotted blender by Moda Fabrics, the Seven Seas line by Whistler Studios for Windham Fabrics that has really pretty map prints in it, and a couple of fabulous flame prints, called Blaze, by Robert Kaufman fabrics.
Have you been in to see the 68 bolts of the latest Kaffe Fassett Collective 2019 line that just released? They are so pretty. It's a great mix of large, medium and small prints, in that gorgeous Kaffe Collective palette. There are a few reprints that have been our of print for several years, like Turkish Delight and Paper Fans, and we are so excited to see them back.
Would you like to learn to sew or quilt but can't make the scheduled classes work for you? We have now added scheduled private lessons to the calendar since classes do not always work in your schedule. If you would like to learn to sew or quilt, get help with a technique you haven't tried before, or are stuck and need help, these private lessons could work well for you. If you would like to take a lesson with another person or two, reach out to us and we can make that happen. Click here for sewing lessons and here for quilting lessons.
Kris Caddy is leading a UFO quilting group that meets the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month. Kris will not be teaching but he will be there as a host of sorts and can maybe help with a questions or two. He is also thinking about leading a project or two going forward, so if you'd like some sewing fellowship, inspiration or deadline accountability, come sew twice a month. There is a $5 charge for each meeting that you will then receive as a credit in your account for each time you register and come to a session. Sign up here.
Have you picked up your free pattern for the 2019 Row by Row Experience?
