| Happy Fall, y'all! It's officially autumn and we're in the mood for crafting, from fun fall clothes to quilts and yummy yarn projects. In honor of the changing seasons, we're giving you 20% off (15% off Harriet Hat kits because item is already discounted) this week when you spend $100 or more. It's a great time to get those quilt backs or sweater-/blanket-quantities of yarn! Plus you can save that reward coupon in your account for another time. Our Stock Up and Save sale runs through Sunday, 9/29/19, and (as always) is limited to in-stock items and no additional discounts apply.
Shetland Wool Week (9/28 to 10/6) is a world-renowned celebration of Britain’s most northerly native sheep. How fortunate that we received our newest yarn, Jamieson's of Shetland Spindrift, in time to take part in this year's event! Spindrift is a 2-ply fingering weight wool traditionally used for Fair Isle knitting and an excellent choice for all your colorwork needs. Our Harriet's Hat Knit Along (KAL), which uses the new Spindrift yarn and the Harriet's Hat pattern, starts Oct. 1. If you want a little extra help, sign up for our Introduction to Fair Isle Knitting class. Participants in both our class and our KAL receive 10% off their Spindrift yarn purchase.You can take part in the Harriet's Hat KAL in person, online (join the discussion at our Ravelry page), or both. Just sign up on our website so you'll be eligible for our KAL finisher's prize (must purchase yarn from IQF&Y): 75 reward points towards your next 20% off coupon. The KAL takes place 10/1-11/30/19. Kits with the original Harriet’s Hat colors are available for preorder in store and online. We're working on additional Harriet's Hat kits in different colorways, so be sure to keep an eye on our Facebook and Instagram feeds to see what we pull together!
Are you on Instagram? If the answer is "yes," then be sure to take part in the #ScottSentMe2019 challenge going on now. The next time you stop in, you can take a selfie that you can post to Instagram as your entry in the challenge. You might win up to $500 to spend at your favorite quilt shop (it's OK -- we know it's us)!
Bogg Bags are back in stock! We were overwhelmed by the response to these bags when we first brought them in and are excited to finally have been able to get them restocked. The company struggled to keep up with the demand and we can understand why. The bags are sturdy, lightweight and perfect for holding pretty much anything. The large bags are great for toting a quilt you're binding and then doubling for a beach or picnic bag and the all three smaller bags are great for knitting projects! We have a limited number of the Original, Baby Bogg, Beauty and the Bogg plus zippered bag inserts. Stop in to pick out your favorites today!
There's never been a better time to take a class with IQF&Y! We've got some great options coming up soon, including:
* Circle Tiles Quilt
* Finishing Your Quilts -- Advice and Pointers from Regina Carter
* Harriet's Hat: An Introduction to Fair Isle Knitting
* Jelly Roll Rug last chance!
* Machine Applique with Jan Cunningham

You can learn how to get started knitting during our weekly sit and knit or we can set up a time that works better for your schedule. Just reserve your spot for $40 prior to that day (either in store, online or by phone) and we will make sure there is someone there dedicated to teaching you how for the first hour of the morning sit & knit. Yarn and knitting needles included! We've found it is a great way for folks to learn. They can then sit with the teacher for awhile knitting and get help learning how to fix little mistakes as they arise. We've had great feedback on teaching knitting this way versus a separate class. Reservations must be made at least 48 hours prior to the session. If you would like to set up a private one-on-one, sign up online and then email us to let us know what dates work for you.
