Intown Quilters Fabric and Yarn is now a web store only with fast shipping!

Live video today and steps to reopening!

June 17, 2020

We know Georgia's governor has lifted the shelter in place order; however, we have not reopened for in-store shopping at this time. We continue to monitor and evaluate and would prefer to to help you virtually with both curbside pick up (remain in your car when you arrive and call us at 404-634-6924) and shipping of your orders! We will start a RESERVATION only, in-store shopping system for now with a reservation fee that goes towards your purchase. You may bring one other person with you (adult or child). All people inside the shop must wear a mask! You can reserve your spot HERE.

By coming inside Intown Quilters you acknowledge and agree to the following:

I am aware of the existence of the risk of illness due to Covid19 by shopping in public.

I have not experienced symptoms of any illness in the past 14 days.

I have not been, nor any member of my household, diagnosed with Covid19 in the past 30 days.

I have a mask to wear and my own antibacterial hand sanitizer to bring into the shop to use.

You must wear a mask and bring your own hand sanitizer inside the shop and use it once you are inside.

You must maintain 6 feet of distance.

Payment is by credit card only or you can send payment through PayPal when you are in the shop.

Why are we doing this reservation fee? Because we are all still very worried about the spike in cases of Covid19 that are already happening in our area, and want to keep your and our risk level as low as possible. We need to keep the number of customers inside the shop to a minimum and are only offering this shopping time to those who are committed to purchasing something from us. We hope to reopen to browsing sometime in July.

Be sure to head over to our Facebook Page at 10:30 am today, 6/17/2020, to watch our Live video (you don't even have to have a FB account to watch). We'll be showing off some things you won't want to miss! If you can't make it, don't worry -- we'll save the videos to our page so you can view them any time it's convenient. We'll be doing regular live videos at 10:30 am on Wednesdays and Fridays, so set a reminder and join us for some fun!

SALE! During Covid19, some areas of the shop have not sold as well as others, so we need to try to move some things along to allow us to order new things. We have added quite a few things to our online Sale area recently, including 94 bolts of Kaffe Fassett Collective, 78 bolts of Ruby Star Society and a ton of yarn. You can even filter by Yarn or Kit or Bundle. Many of these sale items are online specials only so you'll need to shop there to take advantage of them.

We've gotten in lots of great gift items recently, both ready made and ones you can make for giving. The talented folks at Moda and Ruby Star Society have come out with some gorgeous ironing board covers and sewing wallets. Plus we've pulled together some kits for the Easy Does It bag pattern from ByAnnie. Our Easy Does It bag kits include all the pattern, fabric, coordinating zipper and even the Soft and Stable you need to make these bags. Mary's knocked out almost a dozen of them to give as graduation gifts -- so practical and fun!

Show Dad or another special person in your life some love by giving them a ready-made quilt! We've got some great retired samples for sale on our website that are looking for a good home. The quilts with a price under them are for sale. Check back often as we will add more. We try to keep all retired quilt kit photos up on the website so that our customers can find photos of kits they have. You can choose curbside pickup or shipping for them, too!

We are eagerly watching our email for the shipping notification for the Tula's True Colors collection by Tula Pink for FreeSpirit Fabrics, which is available for preorder on our website, both yardage and fat quarter bundles. Tula's fabric designs are in hot demand for all kinds of quilting and sewing projects and we're sure these will be a must-have for the Tula Troops. The collection is a versatile set of Tula basics, featuring an assortment of prints in a range of colors that work with so many of her collections. Included in the line is Tula's popular Fairy Dust print from her Pinkerville line in new colors plus a return of the amazing Cotton Candy colorway! The fabric is supposed to start shipping to stores any day now. Get your order in ahead of the delivery and we will get yours cut before the bolts ever hit the floor!

For information on making face masks, check out our
Charity Projects page. Please also share our GoFundMe fundraiser with your friends and family who might like to help out with masks but cannot help with the sewing of them. Our fundraiser is helping to pay for the fabric that we are providing to anyone who asks (over $5000 given away so far) and to supplement the pay for the shop employees during this time of limited work hours.

We appreciate the support you've shown us during these uncertain times. Whether you are an essential worker during this crisis or doing your part to #stayhome, you are in our thoughts!

    Happy stitching,
    Sarah & the IQF&Y crew

Knitting/Crocheting Classes

Knitting 101 by reservation
You can learn how to get started knitting during our weekly sit and knit or we can set up a time that works better for your schedule. Just reserve your spot for $40 prior to that day (either in store, online or by phone) and we will make sure there is someone there dedicated to teaching you how for the first hour of the morning sit & knit. Yarn and knitting needles included! We've found it is a great way for folks to learn. They can then sit with the teacher for awhile knitting and get help learning how to fix little mistakes as they arise. We've had great feedback on teaching knitting this way versus a separate class. Reservations must be made at least 48 hours prior to the session. If you would like to set up a private one-on-one, sign up online and then email us to let us know what dates work for you.

Norah's Vintage Afghan
A virtual knitalong (for the time being)
Our current shop knitalong, Norah's Vintage Afghan, with just a little bit of tweaking has moved online. Sandra is using Zoom for her weekly knitalong meetings. The regularly scheduled meetings are on Sunday afternoons from 1:30-4:40pm, and you sign up here. Once you have signed up, you will be emailed the information on how to join in. In addition, Sandra will provide instructions on the 1st and 3rd Sundays to set up each block in the Knit Companion App along with any tips she thinks will help. Led by Sandra Mazliah.

Our IQF&Y loyalty program earns you points towards a 20% off reward good on all in-stock, regularly price merchandise. Best of all, it's all done electronically -- no paper cards to keep up with! Still have one of our old paper IQ cards? We are happy to add your existing IQ cards to our system; just bring them in with your name and email address written on them.

We do occasionally give out coupons during shop hop and other special events like quilt shows. Coupons cannot be used on special orders or sale items, cannot be combined and there are no rain checks.
