We now have new reservations for shopping in the store this week. You will need to secure a spot on the CALENDAR page of our website for $15 and then that $15 will get credited back to you when you check out. Why do we have a reservation fee? Because we are not ready for folks who just want to get out of their homes and come to browse. We want to keep the numbers low, to maintain some safety, and feel this is a way we can control it. Evidence suggests that there is a time factor involved in transmission of Covid19. The longer you are around a person who is infected, the more chance you may end up sick. Because of this aspect of transmission, we will keep appointments short, 30 minutes, and ask that you be prepared to respect this. You will also be required to wear a mask and bring in hand sanitizer with you to use once you are inside the door. Of course visiting the website ahead of time to get some ideas of what you might want to look at, will help you stick to the allotted time. Check the website regularly for added reservation spots.
We will also continue on with online shopping and curbside pick up for those of you who are more comfortable shopping from home. We have been told some of the glitches on our site are fixed so please try again if you've had trouble.
We will be open for phone help (including FaceTime and texted photos if you like) and curbside pick-up from 11 am to 5 pm on Tuesdays and then 11 am to 2 pm Wednesday through Saturday (although we might be able to stay a bit later if you need it us to). As always, we will call you when your order has been filled and it is ready to be picked up. Please make sure that you put in a phone number where you can be reached (and that the mailbox is not full). As you can tell by the previous sentence, we have had some trouble reaching some folks.
We are really feeling the end of summer/back-to-school lull at the shop and with our limited in-store shopping, the hit to our sales is making it difficult to cover costs. Because of this, we are adding even more things to our SALE and LAST CHANCE pages to help you find good deals so that you can help us meet our expenses. We have added several books and patterns to the pages today plus a bunch of yarn and fabric. There are also several kits on sale that are perfect for using as yardage in other projects, including masks, if you don't like the quilt we made.
We are also adding in some new lines as they come in at lower, more online competitive pricing so be sure to check our New Arrivals page regularly to see what is new like the new Nathalie Lete Sunday in the Country Line for Anna Maria Horner's Conservatory Collective.
In case you missed it, we have gotten some restocks in for thread and rotary cutters and can always order more if we run out again so check with us if you are in need of any notions you don't find on the website. We have also just received some restocks of the Tula Pink Hexy fabrics!
If you don't really feel there is anything you need to purchase but would like to help us anyway, please consider contributing to our GoFundMe fundraiser. Our fundraiser is helping to supplement the pay for the shop employees during this time of limited work hours and helping us afford to donate some fabric (that is not selling anyway) to people who are still making masks for healthcare and essential workers. For information on making face masks, check out our Charity Projects page.
We appreciate the support you've shown us during these uncertain times. Whether you are an essential worker during this crisis or doing your part to #stayhome, you are in our thoughts!
