Did you hear the happy squealing?! We just received notification that the new Kaffe Fassett Collective fabrics will soon be on their way to IQF&Y! Much happy dancing has been taking place among the crew and we're sure you are just as excited by the news. We've had lots of preorders for these fabrics and we'll be tackling those orders just as soon as the fabric arrives. If you've already ordered, we'll give you a call when yours is ready for contactless curbside pick up or watch your email for a shipping notification. Check out what's on the way (including some fun bundles) and place your order to get in the virtual line before the fabric arrives.
We had so much fun celebrating the shop birthday with you last week! Thanks for all the sweet comments, emails and notes -- we read every single one and had a blast picking out items for your goodie bags. Sarah's birthday is coming up this Friday (8/28) and since she's taking a little time off to celebrate, we've decided to mark her special day with another week of birthday goodies. That's right: We will include a goodie bag* with every order placed through Saturday, 8/29. The more you spend, the more you get added to your purchase for FREE. We've also added a select few skeins of yarn and bolts of fabric with a 53% discount, in honor of Sarah's 53rd birthday (sold in 1-yard increments only; no additional discounts apply).
* The goodie bags will be stuffed with a variety of items (fat quarters, patterns, notions, gifts, etc.) and valued at ~18% of your order for the 18th year of Intown Quilters!
Be sure to grab one of our shopping reservations if you need a little in-store experience with the IQ crew. You will need to secure a spot on the CALENDAR page of our website for $15 and then we will credit that $15 back to you when you check out. Why do we have a reservation fee? Because we are not ready for folks who just want to get out of their homes and come to browse. We want to keep the numbers low, to maintain some safety, and feel this is a way we can control it. Evidence suggests that there is a time factor involved in transmission of Covid19. The longer you are around a person who is infected, the more chance you may end up sick. Because of this aspect of transmission, we will keep appointments short (30 minutes) and while we are slightly flexible about going over that time slot a bit, we do ask that you be prepared to respect this as closely as you can. You will also be required to wear a mask without vents and bring in hand sanitizer with you to use once you are inside the door. Of course visiting the website ahead of time to get some ideas of what you might want to look at will help you stick to the allotted time. Check the website regularly for added reservation spots.
We continue to offer online shopping with curbside pick up for those of you who are more comfortable shopping from home. We have been told some of the glitches on our site are fixed, so please try again if you've had trouble.
We will be open for phone help (including FaceTime and texted photos, if you like) and curbside pick-up from 11 am to 5 pm on Tuesdays and then 11 am to 2 pm Wednesday through Saturday (although we might be able to stay a bit later if you need us to). As always, we will call you when your order has been filled and is ready to be picked up. Please make sure that you include a phone number where you can be reached (and that the mailbox is not full). As you can tell by the previous sentence, we have had some trouble reaching some folks.
The deals abound on our SALE and LAST CHANCE pages and we keep adding more! We're happy to help you find good deals so that you can help us meet our expenses. There's lots of sock/fingering weight yarn (some of it is ~50% off) for the knitters and crocheters. We've also added some great apparel fabrics (including out-of-print Cotton+Steel) and even some Kaffe Fassett Collective and other FreeSpirit fabrics to the Last Chance page. You can't beat the prices for the quality of the yarn and fabric! Check it out HERE.
If you don't really feel there is anything you need to purchase but would like to help us anyway, please consider contributing to our GoFundMe fundraiser. Our fundraiser is helping to supplement the pay for the shop employees during this time of limited work hours and helping us afford to donate some fabric (that is not selling anyway) to people who are still making masks for healthcare and essential workers. For information on making face masks, check out our Charity Projects page.
We appreciate the support you've shown us during these uncertain times. Whether you are an essential worker during this crisis or doing your part to #stayhome, you are in our thoughts!
